1. Who does this policy apply to?

This policy concerns three groups of people — find the one that fits you:

• Registered users: you, if you have opened a ContactFinder account and use our search service;
• Website visitors: you, if you browse contactfinder.top without registering;
• Listed contacts: people who appear in our business contact database. If this is you, go straight to Section 7, "I'm listed — how do I get removed?".

2. What information do we collect about you (registered users)?

• Account information: your login email, your password (stored encrypted), and your organization / sub-account membership;
• Usage records: your search and unlock history, credit consumption and order records, and export records. These serve both as product features (history replay, and organization-wide deduplication so you are not charged twice for the same contact) and as the basis for billing;
• Technical information: login session cookies and access logs (IP address, time, browser type), used to keep you signed in, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

We do not require real-name identification and do not collect personal information unrelated to providing the service.

3. Where does the contact data in the database come from?

The business contact information ContactFinder provides (name, job title, company, work email, phone, etc.) comes from:

• Publicly available sources: company websites, public professional and social profiles, industry directories, and the like;
• Third-party data partners: legitimately integrated commercial data services, where the data is likewise made available at its original source for business use — whether published openly or provided under license.

This data is positioned as business-to-business (B2B) contact information; we do not operate any consumer-facing personal data business.

4. How do we use this information?

• To provide search, verification, export, and related services, and to settle credits under our "only charged when found" rule;
• To keep the service secure: detecting abuse and preventing account sharing and malicious scraping;
• To improve service quality: for example, removing invalid numbers, records for people who have left a role, and mismatched data;
• To contact you: only for service notifications (such as order confirmations, credit reminders, and security codes). We do not send marketing spam.

5. Who do we share data with?

We do not sell your personal information. We share only the data necessary in the following situations:

• To complete your search, we send search parameters (such as a name plus a company domain) to our data partners;
• Infrastructure providers (such as content-delivery and email-sending services) process data only to the extent necessary to provide their service;
• Where required by law or lawfully requested by an authorized authority.

6. How long is data kept? Is it secure?

• Account and search records are kept for the life of the account; after an account is closed, personal data not needed for billing will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period;
• Contact data is continually updated: entries that fail verification, are confirmed as outdated (the person has left the role), or whose source has disappeared are removed or corrected;
• Security measures: passwords are stored encrypted, sensitive credentials are stored encrypted, we apply access controls and audit logging, and all transmission uses HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security; if a data security incident occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you promptly.

You also have the right to know what information we hold about you and to request correction of inaccurate information.

8. How do we use cookies?

We use only strictly necessary cookies: login sessions (to keep you signed in) and basic security protection. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.

In addition, this site uses first-party, anonymous analytics to improve the page experience: it records only interaction events such as page views and button clicks, using an anonymous random identifier. It does not perform browser fingerprinting and does not store IP addresses, does not integrate any third-party analytics service, and the data is automatically deleted after 90 days.

If you voluntarily submit your contact details through a lead form on our site (WeChat ID or email, and industry), we use them only to contact you and set up a trial. We do not use them for any bulk marketing and do not share them with third parties; if you would like this information deleted, simply email [email protected].

9. Other things you may want to know

• Minors: this service is intended for businesses and professionals, not for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about minors;
• Cross-border processing: to complete a search, data may be processed on servers in different jurisdictions, and we require processors to uphold protection standards equivalent to those in this policy;
